How much does charging cost and how can I pay? 

You can pay for your charging sessions in 2 ways:

  • you are charging via the charging card of a compatibele aanbieder of your choice

  • you charge via the EVcharge app and the QR code

In the first case (charging card), we charge a rate of 0.5700 €/kWh (incl. VAT) to your charging card provider. There is always a minimum of 5kWh per session. Your provider may charge additional costs on top of this amount. 
It is best to contact your charging card provider for more information about the possible additional costs.

In the second case (Sport2Charge app), we charge 0.5700 €/kWh (incl. VAT).
There is always a minimum of 5kWh per sessionThe total amount is debited from your credit card, which you can link in the app.

Charging duration

Charging sessions are limited to 4h30min
 during peak hours (**).

Fees

A fixed fee of 50 euros per parking period is payable by the user of a non-electric motor vehicle or the user of a parked electric vehicle without connection or physical connection.

Move your vehicle

If your vehicle is charged or the maximum time has been reached, please move your vehicle!

Do I have to pay a parking fee when I charge my vehicle?

You do not have to pay a parking fee if all of the following conditions are met:

  • your electric or hybrid vehicle is correctly parked in the places reserved for charging

  • your vehicle is connected to the charging point and  charging (*)

    • u respecteert de maximum laadt

      • a charging session is limited to 4h30min during peak hours (**)

        • a charging session is not limited during off-peak hours (**)

          • you move your vehicle when it is fully charged, or when the charging time of 4h30min is reached during peak hours.

            • this way you also allow other drivers to charge their vehicle.


(*) active charging: a current flows from the charging station to the connected vehicle for the purpose of charging the vehicle's battery.

(**) peak hours - off-peak hours: these depend on the region and run parallel to the periods of the parking meters.


What about my resident card?

You do not need to use your resident card. You can charge your vehicle at all public charging points in the Brussels region without using your resident card.
